They are amazing. I think technology has been a huge role in that, just GroupMe. I don't think I was one that used GroupMe a lot, but GroupMe has been a great way, especially with just knowing with the Covid times and knowing what the waves going and how to find safe ways to hang out and knowing everyone's comfort level is that we really utilize the GroupMe where we fit the entire intern class, which includes the prelim um residents as well and from the get go. And I think that begins with even before orientation, um one of the residents and interns took the initiative on him or herself to make the GroupMe and just everyone start to introduce themselves. They start to talk about hobbies and that really helped for orientation because I forget that that was basically like a year ago, but that was probably the most free time we had before we started um to really just get to know people. Um so the fact that orientation also allowed us to meet everyone in person, figure out those interests even more. And then I think it's just been great is not only from our co interns but the senior residents that they facilitated certain things where, you know, every Wednesday or Thursday meeting up at a restaurant, um finding groups like common interests, whether there's like basketball groups, kickball groups, they even welcome people who don't feel like they're athletically inclined. Um but I think that's been largely driven by at least what I feel is the interns taking out their own of, even if they feel very tired knowing that who better to relate to how they feel than meeting up with another intern to get food and I have to say I'm pretty impressed by how frequently we've been able to meet up. Um and I think that's even lead into going to other people's weddings um just having people over an apartment watching a movie. Um I couldn't ask for anything more usually it's the idea of like ok let's all meet up on one non call day or something and go try a new restaurant. So I've actually been doing that tonight for a restaurant downtown. Um I think other things I like being pretty active um I really like trying to run outside and I think Ann Arbor is just known for its many trails so I always feel bad of, I always like to run with others, I feel like I'm gonna slow them down, but I found some friends that I feel like can like run, I feel like I'm not holding them back too much. Um and I think other activities, you know, I realized that I love Ann Arbor year round, but I think my absolute favorite time is like what I've learned is like this like spring summer time just because of the river floats and just being able to, you know, get a raft, get like a tube, sit on the water. I don't know, enjoy the nice weather and then knowing that like the sun sets here like super late. I'm not used to this like on the East Coast. Maybe I just was oblivious to it. But the sun sets here at like 9-9:30 so it's nice that you can stay outdoors even after like a long call day.
