Then you enter your M3 year. Right before you enter your M3 year and after you finish your M2 year, you take your step exams. So these are the board exams that you need to complete before you matriculate into residency and they're very important for your residency applications. And so we have dedicated time off for that. And the structure of that time off being offered to medical students is always changing and being updated based on what medical students feel like they need the most. The reason we call them the Branches is because they're so flexible and you get to really pick your own adventure as you go into the Branches, you are able to do online rotations or research months or you know, choosing more light electives to do. So you get to choose from over 200 electives as you kind of figure out exactly what sort of medicine that you want to go into. If you want to explore plastic surgery, you can do that if you want to explore neurology, there's clinical ethics, there's so many online courses that are also very enjoyable, which you can take dedicated time off for. You can get funding through the school to do your research and you can also do international rotations or away rotations if you want to be near family for a month or you want to potentially do residency in a particular state and want to see what practicing at that institution might look like. You're more than welcome to do away rotations as well. So your Branch years are also very, very flexible and very customizable.
