Temple has a TON of food options. There are two dining halls, two food courts, many food trucks, and a plethora of fast food/other food places. There are also over 10 different meal plans so you can find the perfect one for you. I personally love the variety.

I think besides the usual bedding, clothes, and school supplies there are certainly some necessities to have in a dorm room. College students should have a mirror, a lamp/light, mugs, dishes, extra hangers, extra socks, knickknacks, posters, etc. I recommend anything that makes your dorm room feel at home.

1300 is the largest dorm building on campus. It has 5 floors with the bottom 3 being for freshmen and the top 2 being for sophomores and up. It has trash and laundry rooms on every floor along with study lounges, social lounges, rec rooms, and even a classroom. It is also home to the Honors LLC. I love living in 1300, the building is in great condition and there are microwaves in every wing.

It is incredibly important to find a work/life balance that works for you. That being said, there are some things that work for everyone. You need to have good time management skills so that you can get done what you need to in a timely manner. You need to get the proper amount of sleep and take care of yourself. You also need to learn how to make activities and meals social events. (it also does not hurt to stop procrastinating)

Temple has a wide range of meal plans and 4 meal blocks. There are 4 Regular Plans (one swipe per meal block), 6 Premium Plans (more than one swipe per meal block allowed), and 4 Block Plans. Most meal plans also include a set amount of Diamond Dollars but students are able to add more to their accounts as they wish. There are 2 dining halls, 2 food courts, and TONS of other places to eat on campus along with food trucks.

You can also get diamond dollars to pay for food on and around campus.

Temple has SO MUCH to do during any given day! Along with attending classes you can go to one of the gyms, do work at the Tech or the library, hang out on Beury Beach, go to one of the many club meetings/events, and MORE! I certainly keep myself busy balancing everything but I really love it and I still manage to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. That's what I call killing the college game.

I also think it is great that there are multiple student tours for most of said colleges/universities so that everyone can hear multiple sides of everything.

Temple does have some very large classes, however, they are the beginner/foundation classes. Once you start moving into the more focused, major-specific classes then the sizes shrink. The Honors program at Temple only has small classes which is a big perk. The faculty are all really interesting and passionate about their work and more than happy to talk to you during office hours.
