So I promise I have some really good tips and tricks for you not go bankrupt during your time at N Y U. So first I want to talk about museums. If you're really into museums like I am like, I know I utilized a lot of these perks during my first year on and why you. So if you're really into museums, this is gonna be really helpful. But keep in mind you can't use a credit card there so you can only bring cash and get a discount. Bagel Bob's is definitely a really good option. When you go to N Y u, you get a discounted Amazon prime subscription and a discounted it's modified subscription. Like if you have a dot edu email, you can get a subscription for half price, which is super helpful because, you know, to pay like 12 99 month may not seem like a big deal until a year has gone by and you're like, Where's all this money going? So think about it. I got to New York City and they were trying to make me pay, like, $1920 to go see a random movie, and I wasn't you know that wasn't gonna fly with me so and why you students can get discounted movie tickets somewhere around, I think, usually around, like $10 from the box office for the Regal Cinemas, AMC City Cinemas, the Angelica I know you can use them for. Apparently and why you cells discounted tickets for Six Flags, and I didn't know that. I mean, personally, roller coasters aren't really my thing, but if they are your thing, totally take advantage of that. The N Y U box office provides a discount finder, which is awesome. They actually compiled discount sites for you to utilize. You can just go to the N Y u box office website, and they have a compiled list of all of the discounted sites that you can use. Like I know for Broadway shows they have a list of, like today tickets and all this other stuff, so it's really cool. This might be with every university, I'm not sure, but and why you offers free counseling? It's definitely up to an extent, but there are walking hours and you can go and talk to a therapist and it's totally free. This is definitely my favorite category because there will always be some sort of group or club or association that wants you to come and eat their free food and engage in their free activity. I would hear about stuff like this all the time, and sometimes they even host their events at really cool locations like art galleries. The way to know about them really The way to like stay in the know is to one. Read your emails because I know Steinhardt sends out e mails that once a day about events going on that you could go to for free and eat food for free. Look around your residence hall building because every single residence hall has posters everywhere, advertising for events or discounted Broadway show tickets are raisel sort of round up their hall or anyone in the building who wants to go to go see a Broadway show for a discounted price, so that, I think, is really helpful as well. This is at most colleges, but I also really want to stress, because some people forget definitely utilize the writing center.
