CampusReel Webinar: How to Use Video Landing Pages and CampusCast
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Uh These are custom video, landing pages and screen casts, so we will be recording this session. This is the email that you all received or maybe was forwarded to you by colleague um in the body of this email, you see this little thumbnail image, my goofy grin with a little register today and a link to the video that I recorded for you inviting you to this session. Um you are looking at a video landing page that we have customized for campus real employees. That is the screen cast that I recorded and delivered it to you on this platter of a video landing page. The first is why did we build this featured this video landing page. Um, and what pain point are we actually solving for with this exact this tool? Um, so first of all, I think you're in the room here because you also believe, and, and the evidence supports that every, every time you can use video to engage students is really just going to enhance that students experience or that prospects experience. Uh, it's the incorporating of the videos that can sometimes get a little bit tricky. That's not something you can technologically do, which means that you have to link out to the video that you were trying to share. You know, so if you're trying to incorporate video and email, your, your kind of locked into linking out somewhere and in most cases, uh, we're linking out, you know, schools are linking out to Youtube and I really don't want to trash Youtube because I do love youtube and I'm like learned 1000 things had to do on youtube like fix my dryer for example. It's probably not the best way to share videos. Um, primarily because when you go into youtube, if you're me, you know, you're going to see on the right hand side, like how to fix your dryer videos and you might ultimately lose that student's attention. They open an email from you, they have read your email and they have clicked on a link to a video and they want to go watch your video. So like I said, dryer videos, harry stones, music videos, whatever it is kids these days, it's kind of like their attention spans are short. Um, so delivering your video on this landing page, what you're seeing here on my screen allows you to focus that prospects attention, not only on the content and the video itself, um, but on their next steps, um, watching the video is great. We want them to uh you know consume whatever message it is you're trying to communicate in that video but it's really also about brand affinity and like next steps. So what are they moved to do as a result of consuming this content? Uh and this video landing pages customized experience is designed to increase the likelihood that that prospect will take those next steps. So next step here is to show you how to actually configure your video landing page using your campus real administrative dashboard. This is going to pull an example video from my library and this is how it delivers the content to whoever. So this is kind of like you're customizing the platter, the meal or the video can change, but this is what it looks like. Oh, important to note, Any video from your library can be delivered on this landing page. Then you can take any video from the library and actually generate its own unique U. R. L. So you go back to your video areas over here navigating on the left hand side, you click on the orange icon that indicates kind of sharing options and any video here, will you can generate this individual link. So like I said, any video in your library can become ah, can be delivered on this video landing page. So like I said, these calls to action might change if you're sending videos out during the field season, they might change if you're at the beginning of recruitment season and you're just trying to get students to learn a little bit more about your campus. Hopefully the creative juices are flowing for you as to where you can start leveraging some of the videos in your library and how you might start delivering them using this particular tool. Uh you know, why did we create this tool? So first of all, what is the screen cast for any of you? They're like, what is she even talking about? Um This is a feature built into our software available on your admin panel that allows you to record video messages for really a variety of purposes. Uh you can record yourself speaking and it allows you to record screen capture what's happening on your web browser, for example, straight from your computer using your webcam to instantly create a video that that's going to help enhance the connection with whoever is watching it on the other side. So I think it's fair to say that campus real, you've known us for this kind of model of the one too many video storytelling. That's where, you know, students create videos and then those videos get disseminated out there to hundreds or thousands of prospects. Once you engage your students with video content, you need to provide a more 1-1 experience for them. So video messages really helped do that for you. Uh, yeah, essentially, yes, we want to build your video library with your students and of course that's the primary reason when you're here working with us. We also want to help you leverage video across student touchpoints and within your admissions teams. When you are logged in as an administrator, um really at any moment you can go to this create button up in the top right of your screen so you're gonna select, record a video message and this is going to give you a couple of options. So this would be a great way to just have a very quick video conversation with somebody. You can make as many personalized video messages as you want to be like, hey josh, thanks for taking the tour. So now in about 30 seconds you can really jazz up that email and make it way more compelling with a quick video, connect with that student on their level. Um, you know, anybody who has administrative access can get in here and record, so you don't have to open this up to all of your tour guides, but you could have them pop into your office, record their message and then you have them available when you go and share this video. It shares the video on the landing page that you already configured, so bringing it off full circle here, the two tools really connect to each other. It says if you share the link on social, the meta title, meta description and some nail will be set automatically based on the video that you are sharing. Can you embed the screen recording in an email? Hopefully I answered this earlier, but just to reiterate, you can embed a thumbnail image so you can actually, when you're sending that email you're sending a picture and a U. R. L. It gives the sense that you're gonna about to watch a video, but it's linking at, remember that was the pain point that we're solving for.
