For the next couple of years, I actually learned about SBCC by gluing the best community colleges in Santa Barbara, and my first impression of Santa Barbara City College was that it's a community and that there's more of a college field than the rest of the community colleges that I looked into. I could definitely say that I was right about My first impression s are coming here because not only did it look beautiful when I look at the pictures, but coming to campus and actually seeing the beautiful view was like nothing I've ever seen before. Not on Lee is the campus beautiful? It's also very, very resourceful, with over 150 majors with everything from marine biology to theater arts, There's truly something that s P C. C. For everyone at the school. There are countless clubs, there's an honor society, and there's so many jobs on campus that you could apply for. I would know I worked at the cafe for two years and I loved it. You meet a bunch of new people and it looks great on your resume. E I personally think that the students that thrive the best at S P C c are the students that really, really take advantage of all the great resource is that school has to offer I wanna share some advice and some insight that I wish that I knew for I applied to Spc. See, my purse advice that I wish I knew before Attending S P C. C is to just sign up for classes there Transferrable even if you're just considering transferring to a U. C or C. S. U. And the reasons why you should only take classes are transferrable is because it could get very expensive to take classes that aren't especially if you're an international student like me. And also you're definitely gonna make yourself a favor by only taking transferable courses in the long run. My second advice is to structure your classes and just figure out what classes to take before you sign up. And you can do this by going to a class counselor, setting up a meeting or by going to your pipeline and going to course planning. My third advice is, even if you don't know what you want a major and you can still sign up for classes, you receive your Associate Street. There's a good amount of general education classes that you need to take. And if you don't know what you want to major in your 1st and 2nd semester, you could just take all the general education classes until you figure out what it is that you want to major in. And my last advice is to join by the Anacapa, which is sort of rubber City colleges honor society. Joining the society will look great on your resume, and also it'll look great when applying for schools. And that was it. The last thing I want to say is I loved my time at Santa Barbara City College. I love living in Santa Barbara, So if you're watching this video and you're considering going to Santa Barbara City College, this is your sign.
