Now that we have been spending some time with Charlotte, let's actually get to know her. Okay, So what's it like being a freshman at U Dub? Being a freshman at U Dub was kind of scary at first. Just because it's a huge school, you have like, forty thousand students. My graduating class from high school was less than seventy, so I was really scared to come to a big school. As time went on, I just kind of realized that there are lots of smaller communities within our huge U dub community. I actually run into people that I know just walking around campus, which is crazy. Are there any requirements of you being a freshman? I'm the only requirements of you being a freshman is really just about you. You know, pastor classes and don't do anything bad. Definitely. As a freshman, I would suggest, um, I would suggest living the dorms as a freshman. It's not a requirement, but if you have the option of the opportunity to outs just doing it just because it's a really good way to make friends another thing as a freshman at the offer's dog days, which again isn't a requirement. What dog days is is the week before school starts fall quarter. They have a whole week of activities and meet ups and fun things to dio for freshmen and new students, whether they be like transfers or whatever. That was basically how I created like my friend group and how I was able to find smaller communities. I really recommend doing yet what are some things you wish you before attending college after graduation? I feel like there's just so much and things I wish I knew would definitely be. It is a lot harder than high school in most cases, but you have control of your time. When you take classes whether, like Start class really early or whether you start later in the day, when you finish which classes you take or at least which ones you try to take, you have complete control over. So time management becomes a slightly different issue, not because you don't have enough time But just because your time is really your own. So I think in the beginning I was especially coming from like, a stricter household where had a lot more restrictions coming into U dub where you know, once I was done with class, I could go out and like, I could go do whatever I wanted. I think it's really important to just remember like, yes, go out, have fun and do what you want with your time. Also just don't let yourself get two distracted by going out into being fun things. You know, go to the gym like, you know, explore the have go to the I made, but just make sure you're not slacking. What is your favorite thing about it? So far? I shows U dub because their college of the environment is one of the best programs in the country. I'm actually a double college of the environment major, which means I have two majors, so I'll get two degrees and they're both and called to the environment. It was really important that I be somewhere that was really good. That was really rigorous and was academically challenging. So that was kind of the main reasons I started looking at U Dub. I got to talk to a lot of professors and they just really made me want to come to you. Dumb And I think my favorite thing since being here, it's hard because there's so many things, but I definitely loves location. So you can really take that trained for five minutes and you could be downtown Seattle. So I've especially is an out of state student. I've gone to explore so much of Washington that I wouldn't have been able Teo if I hadn't come a pin up here like I drove up to Mount Rainier National Park exploring downtown Seattle.
