Getting Involved at KGI with Rhea

The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
First, I'm an admissions ambassador for KG I. So that's how I'm recording these videos for you here today. As part of that I do things like outreach on behalf of K. G. I. In terms of talking with the prospect of students or you know, doing a phone call campaign visit days, those sorts of things. I got involved because I love campus and I liked being able to meet people who are interested in the M. S. G. D. Program as well as just interested in the school and want to learn more. When I was applying um I actually talked to an admissions ambassador who helped me make my decision to come here. So I also wanted to be able to pay that forward and this organization is an opportunity to do so the other club I am involved in, I am a secretary for the K. G. I. Branch of the students prepare club, so that's associated with nord or the national organization for rare disorders. It was important to me to join that club one because we have a very strong representation of genetic students. So being able to spend time with everyone in the genetics program and learn a bit more about rare diseases in the process. Also it was away from me to get involved with patient advocacy and really understand the impact that where disorders and genetic where disorders have on patients on their family and learn about their stories. Um not only be able to learn about those things, but also be involved in facilitating um other outreach and awareness for individuals in general. I think student clubs and organizations are really great way to get involved on campus, and I got involved mainly because it was important to me to do something outside of classes, that I would be able to kind of experiences where I learn and grow from that, and it's something that I will take with me long after I graduate.
