Aloha, my name is Megan, and I'm from theUniversity of Hawaii at Manoa. I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii. Born and raised on the island of Oahu. I'm currently a freshman and majoring in travel industry management. The travel industry management school, also known as the TIM School, is already a part of the Shidler College of Business. So once enrolled in TIM, you are part of Shidler. There are two really big influences that made me decide what my major was going to be. The first one was Disney vlogs, and the second was the opportunity to travel. In my junior year of high school, as I was searching on the Internet of what I wanted to do as my major in college, I happened to stumble upon a YouTube video about Disney and their program that they offer that teaches hospitality. And that was just something that I was really intrigued by. And I really wanted to get into it from there, so fortunate to be able to have traveled to so many different places. While traveling, I noticed how great the hospitality was from the hotels and restaurants and all the other places that I went to. I knew from there that I wanted to also provide that wonderful service for everyone else. So I decided to go into the travel industry management field. The types of students that thrive in my school are independent students, who know what their goals are, and are determined to achieve them.
