Hi, I'm Emilia, I'm a junior at smith College. I'm from Framingham massachusetts and I now live in Lamont House at smith College. I am an english major with a focus in creative writing. That basically just means that I take half creative writing classes and half traditional english literature classics. I've kind of always known that I wanted to go into creative writing or since I started here at smith, but my interest outsider, but even within english have changed a lot over the course of my college experience. So now I'm pursuing the poetry concentration, which is just a fantastic opportunity that smith provides where I can get credit and funding for doing poetry related internships and there's a lot of different concentrations um at smith which do a similar sort of program. When I was looking at colleges, I was definitely interested in women's colleges, which is why smith sort of was on my radar. After visiting some things that really stood out about smith for the open curriculum, which means that there are no required classes um to graduate. Someone who doesn't like english and I'm not taking english class. Then the campus was just gorgeous and I love that it was so close to downtown Northampton which had so many cute spots to go. I would like to eat, do some shopping, grab some coffee. The smith is that I stayed with unaccepted students weekend. We're just so welcoming and so excited about smith.
