The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm in front of the smith College Botanical gardens and I'm gonna take you inside on a tour of the mum show. The botanic gardens are one of the most beautiful places on smith campus located on College Lane right across from Paradise Pond. The bulb show in the spring and the mum show in the fall. Here you can see the mum show two whole rooms bursting with chrysanthemums of all shapes, sizes and colors. You'll see moms with curled petals or big round red ones spindly yellow and pink mums and of course your classic little chrysanthemum blooms. The flower shows are one of my favorite events on smith campus. I look forward to seeing them every year and I'm not the only one. The shows are known to draw big crowds so I'm lucky that I got in on a slow morning to show you this. The botanic gardens of a number of other sites to offer. There are benches to sit and read or study on paths to walk through the greenery and all sorts of beautiful plants to take photos of or with. The gardens are also pretty involved with student life. Every first year receives an ivy planet orientation that you're supposed to try to keep alive until graduation. Mine admittedly did not make it, but I've never had a green thumb. There's also a highly coveted horticulture class you can take at the gardens but watch out. It's apparently really hard to get into because it's so popular. The gardens also sometimes host workshops about things like terrarium making or plant based dyes personally. I like to come to the botanic gardens in the mornings when it's pretty empty so I can walk around and enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by plants. This room here is my favorite with the mini pond and hanging plants and if you turn around a wall covered with little plant squares, I just think they're the cutest thing. I highly recommend you take a look at the botanic gardens while you're here if you can. It was definitely one of the highlights on my visit when I was applying.
