The Internship Experience
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
So I'm not in my normal room where I usually take my videos. In addition to being a student athlete, I'm also a calm major. So right now I'm at Westminster College, where is my internship for this semester. So I wanted to take you through the internship experience, and I'm gonna take you along my day here at Westminster. Today we have the men's basketball game, so let's go check it out. So it's a Saturday here at Westminster College, and that means it's game day. Um, for my internship, I did a three credit one in the spring semester, so each credit equals 40 hours, so roughly have to get 100 and 20 internship hours for this semester over the summer. I think they're a little bit more lenient with it, but for right now in the spring, I can basically only do three credits. As I previously mentioned my internship as I watched Mr College in the Sport communication department. This is the college is newly renovated entryway into their field house. This is my view during most of their sport events, and I usually am very up close and personal with the game, which arguably is the best view for basketball. Specifically, I typically stand underneath the hoop to get the best shots. As I previously mentioned, I do a lot of log tweeting for the sport events, and I also accompanied by two to the videos of good shots or steals, which is why I do stand underneath the net. The important thing to remember about internships is one of us to use. Biggest mottoes is that you're either networking or not working. That being said, I was able to get my internship through connection that I made on campus. Okay, here are some of the tweets during this game, and it was a really great experience being able to see what I do, post it out there and be able to gain some real world experiences before I go. I have a few more key pieces about internships for you. It is important to note that internships are based off of which department you're in, and not all departments require an internship for graduation, but it is optional for most. For communication, it is required to have at least a three credit internship. I hope I can give you a little more insight into the internship experience today.
