My name is Sarah and I'm a third year double major in business management and theater arts. Say I'm going to be doing a review of dying on campus so I'm going to be going through meal plans, dining options, how to handle dietary needs and much more. I want to start by giving a little context on what our meal plans look like here at S. C. S. U. For the 2021 2022 academic here there are three types of meal plans for students to choose from. The lowest tier is flex five and is a daily debit dollar style meal plan where students will get $28 per day monday through friday. The middle tier is flex seven which is also daily debit dollar style where students will get $26 per day monday through friday and then $16.25 on saturday and sunday. Students have the flexibility to spend the daily dollars all at once or e and shop throughout the day. The Flex five and Flex seven are also use it or lose it each day, which is normally not ideal to most people. I will say that it's not that hard to use up all of your money for the day. It's also a really fun way to bond with your friends because at the end of the day, everyone will check how much money they have left on their card from the day and they'll all rush the markets on campus with their phones out and calculator apps open, trying to zero out their daily balance so we make it fun. The highest male plant tiered is females plus meal plan, which is a combination of both meal swipes and declining debit dollars. Where a student will get four meal swipes and 100 and $10 added to their card each week, unused wipes and debit dollars do roll over each week and then we'll also roll over to the spring semester as long as the student keeps the meals plus meal plan in the spring. Okay, now on to our dining options, I'm going to start at the garden, which is normally are typical dining hall style restaurant. It is normally a buffet style where students swipe or pay a flat rate to enter and can eat as much as they'd like. We also have University towers kitchen or U. T. K. Which is a made to order dining hall. The garden and U. T. K. Are the only three locations where meal swipes can be used, declining debit dollars can be used at the garden and Ut King and also at almost all three locations on campus. We have a food court in the center of campus called east comments with rubio Subway panda and many others in the student union. We also have a habit and it to Poland, but chipotle is sadly not on meal plan. Then in south campus Plaza we have a Eureka which is actually an official sit down restaurant and it's really nice. We also have a which which a broken yolk which has really great breakfast options, a poky place, Epic wings and things and inevitable, which has also I. E. And other blended bowls. It isn't on meal plan, but it's obviously still really nice to have a grocery store right on our campus for students who want or need to buy groceries. We do also have three different Starbucks locations on our campus, which are all on meal plan, so I promise you will never be coffee deprived. Last thing I did want to address what to do if you have dietary needs, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, whatever it may be, students who have specific dietary restrictions can meet with a member of the dining team to develop a campus dining routine that is personalized just for them. Overall, there are many, many options for food on our campus and for high quality food. It's not only dining halls and cafeterias like it is on some college campuses, we have a lot of common franchise restaurants that give students even more options.
