Things in My Dorm that Just Makes Sense
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm gonna be going over basically the dues and don't support to bring two dorms. Heaven's gonna start stockpiling, buying stuff you need for dorms. What do you get this? What do you get that I'm basically just gonna tell you what you really do need and then stuff that you think you need that you really don't need. Okay, so now, before we get into it, let's go over some stuff about your college dorm. Your dorm is probably going to be about the size of my room would to you in there if you have a roommate. What are you gonna need? You're gonna need storage space now. You each got two of them if you're in the kind of standard dorm space. If you want to kind of optimize that, get a hanging rack. There were huge, and while they're kind of helpful, they're also kind of a waste of space because you're never gonna use that much in your hanging rack, and then it takes up space in your actual closet. The next thing that I recommend you pick up to buy is storage containers. Now there's very specific type of storage container that literally saved my life in both, moving to living at and moving out of the dorms. It's making No, but seriously, these things are amazing. They will tell you great storage things were not going to go to in depth into all the other storage pipes you can get. Okay, so now the next thing on the list is something more fun, but also very practical. You're gonna need these as much as most people in the dorms, at least in the dorms. You never know who the person sex you're gonna be. You're gonna want to just plug in, sometimes turn on some music, turn on movie turning an audiobook, whatever floats your boat, put it in and just ignore the entire world. I just really recommend a good thing of Bluetooth so that you can walk away from whatever you're doing and come back and you still got him. Okay, The next thing is super important, and you'll see this on a lot of list. I just wanted to hammer home how important this is a water bottle now in dorms, while you do have, like, a bathroom stuff you might not want to be, you know, drinking, faucet water, all the time, and you might not want to have to do, like, tiny little trips to and from the bathroom for whatever you're going. I've seen so many people get sick or not fuel because they're eating, you know, jump food for the first time in their life, away from home and kind of candy. Other things you need in your dorm room going to college. You want to make sure your ears don't freeze and fall off. Emphasis on good, because some of the cheaper ones will pull the paint right off of your dorm wall. This is a basic and more known one, but the emphasis on getting a nice one I got a cheap one thing fell through didn't end well for my shampoo. If the bathroom is really far away and I'll close by, you want to be able to check to make sure you look good before you leave. Now, the next couple things you don't actually need need but are great if you can get them first. You don't want to blow your neighbor's ears just something small, like a small little portable party speaker. You don't want to do the thing of Do you have the vacuum? Do you have the vacuum? Where did the vacuum go every single week and should just invest in a nice one? A printer. The next one is probably the most important thing to me on this list, but it does come with the stipulation. You can make instant noodles, everything in your dorm. It makes it like, you know, I got a three minute thing of boiled water, that sort of thing. That's a great thing to invest in if you're the type of person who drinks a lot of hot drinks, likes your ramen noodles and such. You want to make sure you get one of these flathead ones, make sure it's surge protected. Good thing to keep it out for Okay, so the last one of the you should know this, but with the twist is laundry baskets. Obviously, you know, you're gonna need a laundry basket. What you might not think of is you may be living like I was on floor 10 of a dorm building, which means when your laundry is in the basement and you have a little carry thing like I did, it's gonna get real old real fast. It means that you're not kept hefting your thing down hallway, hefting your thing back. You know, I gotta get this this, this this and then you don't wanna be hauling up your thing up like, you know. This is definitely some stuff that you got to keep in mind that might get, you know, kind of pushed under the rug when you're looking at big things like clothes and towels and all that stuff.
