Megan's words of wisdom

So I just wanted to end this tour on two little pieces of advice that I have. First, I wanted to let you guys know how I got into the school, if any of you guys are interested in that. I also wanna just give a piece of advice that I wish that I knew coming in as a freshman for college. My application experience might be a little bit different from yours, if you're applying or, you know, College of Arts and science or something a little bit more academic. I applied for the drama school, so my application was largely audition focused. You go in, you do two minutes of a monologue, Um, and they ask you questions in an interview, stuff like that. I do know people who, um, actually submitted their videos, and they also got in no problem. I went there in person you know, there's no, like, real preference. I will say that the big difference between the two of those is that I went in person because I did e d so actually had to fly out to New York and do my audition. Um, I think if you're interested in Nuo as your first choice or any college, really, As your first choice, I highly recommend doing it because that does give the school a little bit of like you kind of proved to them that you're really interested in the school and that if you are accepted, then you're you're going to go. That doesn't mean that my grades didn't matter. You, Khun do s a T. But I just chose Teo, submit my predicted scores for I B and actually ended up going a little bit under the my predicted scores. I was freaking out that I wasn't going to be accepted into I wasn't gonna be accepted like And why you? But it was fine. I only went to points under, I think if you like, if it's like a drastic change in your score, like, maybe they'll take a second look at your application, but I never heard anything about it. If that's you, you're still going to get it. Yeah, As for my advice to incoming freshman, it would definitely be to get involved in the school especially And why you were it's there's not a big community. Why you? Since it's just so big, like outside of my studio? I didn't have a lot of friends last year. I really just kind of like stuck with my studio group, which I love my studio group. It was kind of isolating because I didn't have a lot of friends outside of that. So I definitely regret kind of not signing up for all those clubs on the reason. That is because I thought I was going to get overwhelmed and I wanted to focus on my studies. Really, part of the whole college experience is making new friends and putting yourself out there and trying new things. Even if you think that you're not really going to like it, you can always drop it. You can always, just, like, not show up to events, but just kind of like getting involved is like the best way to just meet new people on campus, especially at an urban campus. So that's the piece of advice that I would give you guys. So if you've stuck with me all through this tour, thank you so much for coming with me. I hope that I'll see you guys on campus next year, but by.
