The first thing that helped me out with some of the clubs and organizations that I joined. Uh, McCombs had a great setup to where there were really three to four organizations that spoke to me. So there was a professional-oriented organization called Health Innovation Fellows that I joined. I held the role of VP of Recruitment for that group, and the Health Innovation Fellows group is one of the younger fellows programs on campus, which is more formal and career-oriented as opposed to a traditional student organization. Uh, this group was meant for anybody interested in the healthcare space and really provided them opportunities to get exposure to the intersection of the healthcare and tech spaces. So that was a great advantage for me. Uh, as part of my personal passions, I was involved in the Consortium and the Consortium for Graduate Study and Management is a group that promotes the representation of underrepresented minorities in business. Uh, I was co-liaison for the McCombs chapter of that organization to help my classmates in those behind me succeed. I was also involved in the McCombs Ambassador Committee, or MAC. I was one of the four student co-chairs that led this organization, and I had personal responsibility for setting up and organizing the virtual tours, mock classes, and those one-on-one coffee chats that prospective students have with current students. And the final organization that I joined was kind of my social outlet, the Graduate Business Adventure Team, or GBAT for short. I was one of the co-presidents of this organization and we set up all the outdoors activities, everything from rock climbing, to cycling, uh, to swimming and kayaking all the way to the annual ski trip. And yes, the school in Texas does have an annual ski trip, which was great.
