Hey, guys, My name is Madalina, and I'm a student at the Ivey School of Business. I'm currently doing a dual degree that includes a honors business administration as well as a bachelor of science and foods and nutrition. In high school, I had many different interests, and I still do today. One of them was being science. I really liked my science courses in high school, and I knew that that was also something that I wanted to consider. And so the reason I picked doing the HBA program at Ivey Business School is because it allows you to have the flexibility to pursue several interests. The HBA program doesn't start until your third year, so in the first two years you can major in anything that you would like. I wanted to have the flexibility of learning a wide variety of things. I really wanted to expand the opportunities that I'll have after university and to be able to open as many doors as possible. I love the emphasis that is placed on student success. At Ivey, there's so many different support networks that you have access to. You can access other students in order to get support they also have career management. So career management is where you go for any career related issues that you have. So this could be networking resume and cover letter building. It could be how to negotiate your offer. Career management is something that supports every student You think these types of student that thrives that Ivey is someone who works hard, has a good work ethic, has a design and drive to learn basically as much as you can during your undergrad. There was never a moment Ivey, where I didn't feel supported but also pushed outside of my comfort zone. The caliber of people at Ivey, including the profs your classmates, staff members, is incredible, and there's so much to learn from each other. And so I really feel that if you put in the work, you will reap the benefits because this is an environment that's really conducive to your success. And I'm sure that if you want to get in, if you're very motivated to learn and put in the work that you will love it here just as much as I do.
