Hi everyone, this is Becky, I'm gonna talk about two things. First, why did I choose Ivey, second some application advice. A little bit about myself, I'm currently enrolled Ivey Business Schools MSc in management program. I'm in the business analytics stream. Before I came to Ivey, I finished my undergraduate to at DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University with a major in commerce and a minor in economics. So why Ivey? When I was doing my undergraduate, I was thinking I would probably want to do something more than just pure business, pure finance, something that's more challenging and interesting for me. And I noticed Business Analytics is a very popular trend right now, and I thought that could be a new area I can explore. Then I did my search on their visit schools within Ontario because I don't want to move too far away. And I found several business schools that offer analytics related programs and Ivey was on the top of my list. First off, all reputation is a big factor. Ivey is one of the most prestigious business schools in Canada. It was Somewhere I thought I could never getting back in a few years ago, but this time I want to challenge myself. So I applied. Another thing that really attracted me was the Ivey Analytics Lab that provides someone work placements for students to get a work integrated learning experience. I'm actually going to do that this summer, so I'm super excited and looking forward to this experience. Next, I'm gonna give you some application advice from my opinion. I can always speak for the business analytics stream. First. You definitely want to have a strong academic performance, especially in courses like mathematics and statistics. If Ivey thinks your past academic performance was strong enough, you can even get an exemption for G R E or GMAT Test, which I got from my application. And knowing some of the programming languages and how to code is gonna be a huge help not only for you to get into the program, but also when you are doing projects or applying for an internship after you've got in the program. And, of course, you want to show your problem-solving skills and analytical thinking in your past experience, whether it's in school or in the workplace other than hard skills, you need to show who you truly are when you're writing your application essays or during the interview. Don't feel like the admission officers are assessing your grades. Your skills and your abilities make you to be like you're telling your story. What did you do and what do you want to achieve by doing this program? It's very important to include authenticity in your application. I think that's what Ivey really wants to hear from you. Last but not least, show your passion in business analytics. Ivey wants to give the study opportunity to someone who's really interested in passionate about business analytics, and that's the most important part in your application. That's it for today's video. Thank you for your watching.
