Hi, My name is McKinley Miller and I go to Florida Southern College, and today I'm going to talk about our wellness center. First of all, there's a lot of guided classes that the ball in the center offers. There's total body conditioning, yoga core, strengthening cycling, AB strengthening and Zumba. I have tried them all, and they are all really fun and led by really fun people. If you prefer to work out by yourself, there's also options for that. We have a lot of really cool machines, all with a really nice view of the lake. If you're a competitive swimmer, or if you're just a casual, want to dip in the pool to get out of the sun. There's also a huge list of things that you can rent from the wellness center, such as bikes, camping supplies, different kinds of balls for different sports, uh, yard games, anything you can think of on top of all that, you can also rent kayaks and canoes after the link so that you can go out and have some fun there. If you don't know quite what you're doing with any of the equipment. There's also personal trainers readily available at the wellness center, who can help you figure out what you want to do if you look out for it. There's also challenges at the wellness center puts out like last semester, there was a step challenge where if you took a certain amount of steps, you can get a T shirt. There's also a lot of other giveaways that the wellness Center does for T shirts, yoga mats, other stuff that you don't even have to do a challenge for. If you're the kind of person who likes team sports, there are also a lot of intramurals going on right now. All of this information is easy to find on the wellness centers app you pace. It's a really good source of information for students, and it's got all of the schedules. It's got the hours that they're open and its occupancy in case they're too full to take on anyone else it wants to work out. It's got when the classes are and what they are. You can find your reservations for the classes that you wanted to take, and it's got directions to the facilities, what programs are running and any other events that you find interesting. Our wellness center was one of the biggest reasons why I chose this college over any others because they had so many options to be able to stay healthy on campus. The school really knows how to keep it active and fun. I hope you choose to come see it for yourself someday.
