Hi, My name's Craig and I'm a sophomore from Pretoria, South Africa, and I am currently undeclared, meaning I don't have a major. So I go to Florida Southern College, which is a small college, well, small, meaning 2500 undergrad students on and despite it being called Florida seven, it's actually mid Florida, right in between Tampa and Orlando. A question I get asked a lot is, uh why on earth did you pick Florida Southern College? I guess it wouldn't make much sense and from the middle of nowhere, But I chose a small school in mid Florida. Basically, your boy just went into the common app, and then colleges started sending me emails left, right and center, and Florida Southern happened to be one of them so I could apply for free. And I think the applications actually still free. And if it's free, I mean, I decided, why not anyway, after applying to Florida Southern, it was the first college thio, except my application. I decided, Yeah, I'm gonna go to this place. I'm going to see how it is. I found out that they have a program called Scholars Weekend and basically what you do is you come and stay for a night on the campus, in the dorms with students at Florida Southern, and you get to learn a bit more about the community. So I just decided after growing scholars weekend and meeting some of the most amazing people and just learning that this was a community, I wanted to be a part off. I knew that I was going to be set at Florida Southern because I like the people there. And as long as I'm surrounded by a community that is supportive and understanding and all around just nice to be in. You know, I just I like the people at Florida Southern College, and I understand searching for college is really stressful. You don't really know where you're gonna land up. I mean, what is good for me? Just a twig doesn't always give you the sense of home that you want to have when you look for a college in my search for college, I wasn't all too worried about things that a lot of my friends in high school worried about, like athletics programs or my parents haven't gone to the same college or something of the sort. I just wanted to be somewhere that I felt safe and accepted somewhere that I thrived. And somewhere I had friends, friends that I know will always have my back. And I know that at Florida Southern I have forge those kinds of friendships. So I think if you have an opportunity to tour, please do that. And yeah, that's why I chose to
