Okay, So one of the things that I wanted to talk about was one of the biggest fears that I had going back to school, which was the time that it would take away from my job to pursue my education. Um, being a full time student would mean that my work hours would be cut in half. So you know, their sacrifices that you make whenever you choose to pursue your education. I knew that, um, but there were many scholarships that got me through. You know, I had done a little bit of investigating, and once I had decided to go back to school, and I found out that there were scholarships that, um, that would help me out during that time. Um, there were plenty of scholarships that I got through my tribe, Scobie Nation. I received the tribal funds grant, which awarded ah $125 per college credit hour, and I received the B I A grant, which was for Pell eligible students. You did have to maintain a G p A of 2.0, or higher. The funding was determined by the financial needs established by the college itself. I usually just did the fall in the spring through the Muscogee Nation Scholarship Foundation. I got the Claude Cox scholarship, which was over $1000 for it. Um, there was also an emergency grant through with the College of the Muscogee Nation. It helped me to be able to continue to go to my classes and not have to worry about my car breaking down. The American Indian College one was a tremendous help to me during this time of my schooling. The two years that I went to the College of the Moscow be nation. Um, in 2018, in 2019, I received the TCU scholarship, which is the tribal college scholarship. Um, the amount on that varied on then in 2019 in 2020. So with that scholarship, I received over $2000 for the fall in the spring semesters. So these scholarships is what made it possible for me to be able thio get my college education. With these grants, I was able to make up for the hours that I missed at work. I was able to help my husband, you know, pay the bills that I had been responsible for previously. Um, it really allowed me to be able to take care of my family. So don't let your financial needs stop you from going to school, because there is plenty of help out there for you.
