Hey everybody, my name is josh martin and I'm a first year NBA student at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate school management. Upon graduation I commissioned as an army aviation officer flying helicopters in the United States Army with a number of years of that being within the special operations community. I started my grad school search uh, you know, a little bit late for the majority of the people that that came in with uh with my class. I was kind of in the middle of the medical process of getting out of the military and you know, it wasn't exactly sure if I was going to be out in time to start a program. You know, looked at the number of schools and kind of in the middle of the, you know, covid pinned and I ultimately, you know, really um, set my sights on Vanderbilt after realizing how how friendly it was to the veterans and the military community just as a whole. Some of the other elements of the one that really attracted me were the rigor, the academic program, the overall happiness of students and alumni that I had talked to, that we're familiar with the program. I really enjoy all the aspects of diversity that that Owen community has to offer. I honestly had no idea that we would have an excess of 25 different countries represented across my 180 person class. Coming in and getting to meet all of the international students and getting to talk to all of my peers that are coming from different industries and different backgrounds and different or are very links of professional experience.
