I am a first year at Owen one night I was desperately scrolling linked and hoping for a sign or some really cool job opportunity that might take me a little bit outside of tax, give me a broader knowledge. Um and I saw a long post from a recent college graduate, she had said that she landed her dream job because of all of the things that she learned Owen and the opportunities she was given. So I spent the rest of that night researching like crazy was too late to apply, could I still make it happen? And it wasn't too late. So I got all of my application materials in within a couple of weeks and then I found out in early May that I had gotten in and I was so excited. So here I am at Owen, I really only looked at the one program and my husband's employed at Vanderbilt. My parents went to Vanderbilt for medical school so you could say that my blood was already running black and gold. I'm excited to have a Vanderbilt degree myself and feel a little more connected to the school personally. So right now we are planning a fun fall event in a couple of weeks coming up. We're going to have coffee insider and some fun fall activities for all of the students at Owen, I'm also involved with the turner family center for social ventures. I'm on the social startups committee, So right now we are putting on a social enterprise pitch competition happening later this week. Students are on teams of 3-4 and they're going to come up with a business idea that will help bring 500 jobs to Nashville within the next a few years or so. So I'm just excited that I've gotten to bring all of these interests together on campus and gotten to use them to help the Nashville community already.
