Hey guys, my name is Logan, I just wanted to share how much I love my program here at Vandy, so I'm a master of marketing student in the Owen graduate school of management here at Vanderbilt University. One of the best things about this program is the support that they provide and the efforts to get you where you want to go. We have a career coach and she meets with every single person in the program one on one and we have personalized conversations about our career goals. So the first time I ever met with Kathleen, I did not have a good understanding of what I wanted to do as a career, I knew what I enjoyed and I had a good idea of what I thought I'd be good at, but she took all those things and created options for me to explore and she introduced some industries that I hadn't really thought about, that I might enjoy as well. We also talked about networking and how networking is so much more than linkedin, you gotta put in a lot of intentional effort. Then she also helped me to reform my resume, make it clearer, much more concise and reflective of a graduate student. So since that first meeting, I've had two interviews for a marketing research firm and they're actually flying me out next week for my final interview, which I think is really, really cool and definitely due to Kathleen's help, another resource here is our LDP which our leadership development team. So instead of focusing on professional development, which Kathleen kind of covers, this team focuses on your personal development. So when I met with someone from this team, I was able to look at my strengths and my weaknesses and she basically broke them down in a way that I hadn't really thought about before. Um and this team is really cognizant of your graduate status, so they want to make sure you're eating, you're sleeping, that you're, you know, living out healthy habits, and ultimately it just shows that Vandy really cares about you as a person and is really focused on getting you to your career goals.
