My name is Casey, and I'm a masters of marketing student at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management. In this video, I'm going to talk about all the different ways that that Mandeville provides opportunities for students to gain riel world experiences through extracurriculars and a case competition. There are tons of professional and interest organizations that you can join with students from all across the different programs that o n. These clubs are a great way to get to know with people who share similar interests, and you aren't exactly interacting with everyday through your classes. One organization that has really helped me build my resume apply. What I've been learning in the classroom is remora. This is a student run nonprofit marketing agency that works with local businesses to help them tackle some marketing problems. We do everything from helping with branding and messaging thio social media in digital marketing. Both MBAs and and Mark students are involved in this organization, so you have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people learning from them as well as applying the skills that you are learning in the classroom. Second is brand Brand week is one my favorite experiences so far. Essentially, it's a week long case competition where masters of marketing students are split up into teams and task for solving problems that are given to us by companies. This'll year We have the opportunity to work with venerable athletics, Google Clusters, Graduate Hotel and Mars Way had three shorter challenges and then a week long challenge. This company gives us a short presentation about their challenge way, then go off into our teams, develop some solutions for their problem and present to the actual decision makers of the company. The company then chooses a 1st and 2nd place winner. So we got some delicious Candies to take home with us for the debt read Week is one my favorite parts of the program because it gives you a little bit of a taste of what you're gonna be doing in the real world, as well as the opportunity to bond with your classmates. After the final presentation, my team went out for dinner and drinks to celebrate the end of a hard. There are tons of organizations and ways to get involved in O n and further develop your marketing skills and to get to know your peers.
