Um And I'm a current junior at USC studying cognitive science with a double minor in statistics and consumer behavior. I am currently sitting outside the taper Hall of Humanity's. This is one of the many buildings dedicated to the data and David Dornstein College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Um But we like to say that you can't graduate from USC without taking at least one class in taper. That's because a lot of general education courses take place inside taper. So I think I've had, well now we're in a pandemic, so at Zoom University, but I think when we were in person I had a class and paper every single semester. Um but there are also several resources inside taper. We have the writing center, the language center and the Office of Overseas Studies. So within the writing center there's writing professors from the english department who hold their office hours there. You can go in um to talk about, you know, an essay for class, You can go in to talk about a personal statement for study abroad or for grad school and they'll help you help walk you through your writing process, they'll help edit um and help provide any support that you need in terms of any piece of writing that you may have with the Office of Overseas Studies. That's something if you want to study abroad, you go to the office, pick up an application when I was planning to study abroad. I spoke to an advisor at the study abroad office and that happened in Taper. Um I was going to study abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, but due to the global pandemic, it was canceled, but that's okay. Hopefully I'll have a time to study abroad later, but we do have lots of different types of study abroad programs. There's the traditional semester, we also have something called May Masters, which is like a 3 to 4 week condensed study abroad program in the month of May. Hence a master have another summer study abroad program called Problems without passports. You go abroad or even there's some domestic ones but you go abroad and conduct like research with professor. That's another option that students have and if they want to study abroad but they don't want to stay away from USB for as long as a semester or a year.
