7 Questions With a USC Student
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
This is seven questions with campus Real? Yes, of course. Where are you currently living currently? I'm living right off campus and Icon Plaza. What? You're in school, are you? And what are you studying? I'm a junior and I'm majoring in narrative studies. So I usually describe it as English with less reading. What it really is is the exploration of narrative in all of its forms. So we look at music, dance, playwriting, screenwriting and of course, literature and poetry. What led you to apply to U. S. C. Dornsife? I applied to Dornsife because I didn't really know where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do. In Dornsife, you can do a little bit of everything. We also get to come home to a really small, tight knit Dornsife community that I think makes a USC experience a little bit easier. Was there an experience in your life that influenced your decision? I think I've been preparing for this decision my entire life. So when I finally got the opportunity to come to us, see and study narrative studies, I knew that this is what I've been waiting to do my whole life. What subject have you enjoyed learning the most and why? Oh my gosh, I try a little bit of everything. I took a printmaking class and taking playwriting and taking dance classes, improv classes. I'm currently taking a clause on the poetics of black cinema, and it's been really incredible, combining, you know, my ethnicity and understanding of my culture with filmmaking and with poetry. It's such an inter disciplinary manner that I think really encapsulates with Dornsife is all about awesome and what types of students thrive at your school. I think all types of students drive at USC, but I think what we all have in common is our student body is creative, driven and ambitious, and we know how to have a little bit of fun too.
