Three Reasons Why I Love Dornsife!

Hi everyone. So today I will be talking about three reasons why I love U. S. C. Dornsife. So the first reason why I love U. S. C. Dornsife is because of its emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. Dornsife has over 80 majors to choose from, but you don't have to study just the major that you are selected in as a dornsife student, you have the ability to study any of the other majors provided whether it be through a course or through other opportunities provided by dornsife. I think this is really cool because while you're focusing on your own major you can also explore a bunch of other majors as well, even if they're not directly related to your own field of interest. The next reason why I really like Jordan's life is because of its research opportunities joins, I've has a plethora of research opportunities for you to get involved in whether it be during the school year or over the summer as well, professors and research managers are always looking for other students to participate in research with them during the school year. And you can even get involved in research through programs created by door inside that are specifically catered to your own major or field of interest. I think this is super important because you have the ability to get a feel of what research really entails at an undergraduate level. And even if you're an introductory research assistant, I think it's a great way for you to kind of get your foot in through the door and really explore what you may enjoy and you don't have to be super involved in research to be a part of it. You can be involved as much as you really have time for, but you still get the enriching experience that you want. Finally, the third reason why I really enjoy being indoor inside student is simply because of the flexibility you have here at USC. As a dornsife student, you have the flexibility to pursue whatever you want and it doesn't have to be within the school. For me, I am pursuing business administration along with psychology and business is an entirely different school, which means that a lot of our requirements are not overlapping. However, my academic advisor has done a great job of walking through my course plan with me and making sure that I'll be able to complete all my requirements for both degrees on time. And what I love about this is that despite the heavy course load with two majors, I even have room in my schedule to explore other fields in Dorn's. I and I hope to take advantage of this in the future by studying subjects such as Economics and Sociology. Stay tuned for more.
