Hi, my name is SAM. I'm coming to you from USC campus today. I'm a senior studying international relations in applied math and I'm here to talk a little bit about May. Mestre mame esters are a program that USC offers, where you take one class through the month of May, so you would finish your finals for the spring semester and then start this one class for one month. Um Oftentimes may investors have been abroad component or a research component. The goal is really to allow you to see what you learn in the classroom through more of an applied lens. Um, so the main mestre that I took was during the summer after my freshman year in the international relations department, it was a class on financing development in Mexico. So thinking about how we can spur social impact through the private sector in Mexico. So we traveled to Mexico city and we lived there for around three weeks. Um During that time we were visiting different banks and micro loan institutions and business incubators, um, and non profit organizations and interviewing clients and founders, um, ultimately trying to write a research paper. So all in all, it was a really great experience. I think that the ability to go abroad during my freshman year really shaped my future trajectory and international relations and my future interests. The great part about me investors is that they're also included in spring tuition rather than summer tuition would recommend looking into it if you're interested in just going abroad or interested in getting a more applied approach to your learning.
