I'm from Bogota, Colombia, and I'm a first year graduate student at the University of Toronto in the masters of Urban Innovation, a Zone international student. I thought that get into a master's program at U of T will be too complex. There were so many extra requirements on just the fact of pursuing high level education in a language that is not my native one scared me so much. After going through this process, I understood that if you find your passion, you get what you deserved. Common to U of T has been such a remarkable time for me. WAAS Toronto Being in the city that is so multicultural that you can find your place and actually feel that you are not so far from from home. Um, it's it's good for you when you are feeling homesick or when you just feel that you are alone because it's part of the process. I was looking enough to turn to mentors for advice, whether I had a question or just for ideas. With their help, I was able to put together my application essay which talked about messaging a Colombian city that applied urban innovation approaches to drive social reinvention. I was showing my story where it come from and why I believe that change is possible. We are moving towards technology where we know that innovation is in every single coordinate. I believe that urban innovation is part of the future. So being part not on Lee from this program, but also for a future generation of innovators who is, we're aiming to transform the world towards a more inclusive, more sustainable Uh, that's actually what I want the urban innovation itself. It's a multi disciplinary, uh, process on bond. Different strategies is not Onley certain group of people working towards this topic. We need community groups when your private when you public sector a swell, and that's the magic of my program and the magic of Iran.
