The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
In this video, I'm going to talk about the different housing options. At the University of Michigan, housing is divided across three different regions. Um, they're about nine residence halls in Central, three on north and four on Hill. They're also six dining halls across campus, but I can talk about that in, um, in another video. So I live on Central in North Quad, and as a sophomore, I'm living the single. This is a big change from last year where lived in five people, five percent sweet. It was a very enjoyable experience, and my roommates were my closest friends. As a freshman at the University of Michigan, you're not required to live in the dorm, but ninety five percent do. I think it's one of the best ways to meet new people and making new friends. You're not goingto have a various choice off dorms. Most freshman's live in Mark Lee Hall or Moshe Air Jordan Hall, Um, or model for short on Hill. Or they also live in Bercy Hall, and they tall on North campus. As a freshman, you're placed into a dorm randomly, and I think the best dorm you could be placed in as a freshman. It is a very nice story, spots, and the view is really nice, too. Oh it has one of the six dining halls across campus. In general, the top five dorms It could live on campus, in my opinion, is number one South Quad number two. Quad them before Stockwell, number five, East Quad, sophomore and you get to choose which residents hall in which dorm room you want to live in. It's a lottery system, though you are given a random time slot of the day to choose your door. Because there are so many different residence halls. Some people have private bathrooms, Some most storms have public bathrooms, and Selma are semi private bathroom, where three to five people share one bathroom. Oh, and if you are going to live in the door, meal plan is mandatory. I wish I knew about this as a freshman, but you can also apply to be in a theme community. These are different kinds of communities within different residents house where you can meet people with similar interests and you get various learning opportunities. Some theme communities that I think is really interesting is the Michigan Research and Discovery scholars. Were you going to participate in one year research with the faculty? Another theme community that I think is very interesting is living arts, where you get to explore arts, architecture, engineering and collaborate across fields. S so I'll see if I can add a link to all the different types of halls, the different types of dorms and rakes, and also the different types of being communities in the description.
