I am a transfer here of King's College, apparently a sophomore. A lot of people know it as J. C. S. And the main reason why I chose the King's college was I just loved the main goal of the colleges. Basically Thio buildup individuals that are pursuing God and working in the workplace to further his kingdom theme student climate. Here Kings is very different than other colleges because it is very small. We have roughly about more than 500 students here at King's. So you need a lot of people want to know them really quickly. I think one thing is really cool is that if you are sure of yourself and you know you are in Christ, you can really attract this other people that are looking for the same goals and even quite really good friends. Um, in the short time that I've been here only for the first semester, I've met some of the closest friends that I've, um, that I really feel like I'll have to be able to develop that relationship for years. E one thing that I loved about the academics here it came, is that they really call up for you. There's a lot of people think professors here actually really kind, and they do understand if you have a sick day or if there's something that is really pressing, they really value your mental health over academics. Addison before my major here is journalism, culture and society. Another positive thing about the tight knit community is I've already met some people that have gotten connected toe work and write certain articles for the newspaper. So I've been able to kind of practice a little bit the journalism community. On top of that, I feel like it is really manageable for me. So I feel like if you really schedule and plan your semester well, you'll be able to balance it well with certain events and like hanging out with your friends. So it's not as insane or crazy or stressful as a lot of people put it out. To me, that's just my experience from my first master, P R. E. There are two pros. What kinds of things The first is because I'm a journalist, Major, and I've written some articles already for the Empire State Tribune. They're published on the newspaper, and so it's really cool, because I already have that experience have built into my here my time here kings, and so I think I could put on my resume. That can just really impact help me in the future when I'm looking for internships. Another thing in the journalism realm is our professor, professor Lisa and bladder. They have a lot of good connections that can help you with internships that they can really, um, help develop your resume and different aspects of your future career, even years after you. King's Another Pro Kings is that there's a really strong, tight knit community that just loves and worships God, Um, every morning, the past semester, there's been a worst time ready. They just like sing song and certain parts of Scripture, and it's just really encouraging to have that and just start your day in that way. Uh, even though you're stressed, increased and really, really stressed out, and it could be crazy during the semester I think there's a lot of really good people here that just come alongside you and encourage you in Christ and just know that you're not alone. So that's one thing I love about things as well. One piece of advice I would give you pricing yourself is just to be securing yourself and your relationship with Price. Me. Thio find my identity in Christ alone, Not in friendships, not in this certain standards. I believe the moral structure because you will get tested on that not just here. So I would say to messing yourself, Just really stand in that and know that your friends don't define new Your academics isn't finding, but what defines it is Christ and just pursue your relationship with him to further his kingdom. That's where you find true, lasting happiness. You would be don't just pick things college just because it is in New York City. A lot of people choose the college because of that, but I think if you really want to be tested by your athletics you really wanna be challenges a person and grow as a person? Uh, e think that's why you should change the King's college. One thing that differentiates the king's college and the reason why I chose it is because it doesn't really have that crazy party aspect to it, because it is very small. So I think that is one thing, obviously, because there is a lot of hustle and bustle in the city and really challenges students to find peace and rest amidst the chaos on, I think obviously one big thing that differentiates skipping college from other colleges is that you're really stronger college in a very secular environment in Manhattan. I'm sorry, E So I think that's a great thing about things.
