The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm a sophomore here at the King's College, majoring in finance and in the house of Sir Winston Churchill. I just want to talk a little bit about kings and some frequently asked questions and also my experience here. My favorite thing about being a king student is the independence that it gives you being in New york city and also Kings does not have a meal plan. So there's just a lot of different independence and responsibilities that you gain, I think being a king student and being in new york city, which I really love, which leads into the second point of also that's sort of why I chose Kings, but also for the academic rigor that it offers and just the different experiences and opportunities that new york city has to offer. The types of students that thrive here at Kings are ones that are courageous ambitious and take themselves seriously. You can't come to King's messing around, you've got to take yourself seriously here, being in the city. Um, everyone else is ambitious and driven around you in the city and the kings. So you also have to learn how to take yourself seriously and be responsible. We do have a lot of fun while doing that. My favorite thing about living in new york city is just the culture that it is here. It's definitely fast paced, which is a lot of fun. You have to take yourself seriously once more and it's just a totally different experience than thousands of other places to live. So I think I just love the culture and experience of new york city. A piece of advice to incoming freshmen is to learn how to cook and start learning how to live on your own as you will not have anyone to do that for you when you come to the city. Um And don't try to be someone that you're not when you come to king's, there's gonna be a lot of different people, a lot of pressure at initially, I think coming to kings and the city. Um but don't take that pressure and try to be someone you're not be yourself and authentic and people will really learn to love you.
