E know that we don't have the opportunity to speak to a lot of residents this year because we're virtual. So I just kind of wanted to talk to you about what life is like from you in Boston. Um, I surprisingly love Boston, I must say, And if you can see outside my window, I love the brownstones. We're starting to just have full color, which I think it's so exciting. I've actually fallen in love with the spring and the fall amid all of the kind of activities that we've got gone to do. I went to New Hampshire with some friends last year. Um, and I I really loved my time on the East Coast here. A couple of things just to kind of let you know about me that I'm really passionate about. I love hiking which I've been to New Hampshire. I haven't made it to Vermont, and I'm planning to go to Maine soon, and I've hiked all over Massachusetts on guy love, love exercising. Um, Boston has been probably the best city of ever running. Before I run along the Charles around ngh I run around various parks on It's really an incredible running community s. So I I would just say Overall, I've really been happy with my time here in terms of my commute. I've done a couple different things, eh? So I live kind of near the Fenway area, which is a bit farther than I would say, most engaged residents to who typically living around the hill or Cambridge. Um, last year I was taking the tea, which is our transportation method. I knew my park at engaging that I was talking about a mile. My whole commute was about 35 minutes what I really enjoyed. It's about a 13 minute bike ride, two miles, and it's very easy, and I really love it. I love getting a little bit exercise it and just like being able to clear my mind. I think walking, biking, taking the tea are all very easy, peaceful options. That's what most of us dio in terms of the social life at MGH. I would say that the large class is a huge benefit, but I would say MGH is incredibly social. We have something here called liver Rounds, which is a very old tradition at MGH, where every Friday around 7 p.m. When people kind of sign out for the night. Um, a society MGH that's in charge of live around announces where the bar will be for that Friday and anyone who can or wants to make it meets at this bar. We kind of just, like, see our friends debrief for the week and get an opportunity to say people we typically wouldn't see otherwise. That's been something really special to me on something that I really loved a couple of my other events, other events that have been my favorite. We have incredible Christmas party at MGH. It was a the Harvard club last year, which is probably the fanciest place I've ever been in my life. Um, it had an open bar, this crazy dance floor and we could bring our significant others. MGH always makes a point of inviting our significant others every events which I, which I think is awesome, and I really appreciate it way, always have events for Thanksgiving. They always make sure to have meals for any holiday that residents have to work on. We have a ton of events during the beginning of inter near something that I thought was really a nice touch and away for the residency. To show that they were looking out for us is we have our intern retreat, not at the beginning of the year, but we haven't in January, which is typically a pretty cold, difficult time of the year. You're going to keep cod for about a day and a half. It's kind of cold, But that didn't stop us from going into the ocean at midnight last year, and it's really fun. I was probably a lot of information, Um, but it was nice to talk to you E o..
