The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm a categorical intern here at Mass. General Hospital. I'm from Massachusetts originally, but I had a career before medicine and kind of moved all over before actually deciding to do medicine. I graduated from Georgetown Medical School, uh, in 2020 and then came here, Uh, notably I'm married. We have two little boys, a three year old and an eight month old, which in itself poses kind of its own unique challenges of balancing being a resident and filling the roles of also being a husband and a father. So I chose to come to Mass. General for residency for three reasons, the first being the unique structure of the inpatient outpatient curriculum here in particular, the big low on inpatient. I thought something that was really innovative and creative, a really fun and interesting way to learn medicine. It was something that got me very excited about being a part of this program here, having done the rotation now, it's certainly lived up to those expectations. I think the flexibility of the program to tailor your experience, uh, to your interest, while also still providing you with a really strong foundation in kind of the core clinical skills that you need to practice medicine was something that was also very striking to me on. Lastly, I think the residents interactions with each other both during the preinterview dinner during their interview day itself. The atmosphere here incredibly collegial and and the residents are very happy here. I think that speaks volumes about the quality of the training that you're gonna have here. A swell is like the quality of life that you can have here as a resident, because no matter where you go, residency is going to be difficult, you know, and you throw in all the other things in life that kind of pile on there and being with people who you like on who you enjoy spending time with and learning with, I think one of the most important things you can you can choose when you're trying to decide what residency program you go to.
