My name is Michelle Diab, and I wanted the junior residents in the primary care track and internal medicine here it engage in this video. I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself that you could get to know me on some of the reasons why I wanted to come to MGH for residency. I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and I grew up in the West End of Boston, which is also where mg just located and you can see in our background right over here. After graduating high school, I moved to New York, where I went to Colombia for college and majored in anthropology, and at first I was in 100% sure that I wanted to pursue medicine. One summer I did a public health internship at Bellevue Hospital, and I was randomly following around the palliative appeared, and after spending the whole day with them, I just fell in love with fields. Ever since then I've just been exploring palliative care, and I know for sure that it will be a huge part of my career. So if you're also interested in palliative care and you should combine clash forward to 2015. There I did the combined M. D S P M program in primary care and population Medicine. So much so that when it came time for residency, it really didn't wanna leave. After talking to several mentors, people encouraged me Thio at least see what else is out there.
