My name is Eli and one of the rheumatologists here in one of the sub specialty court educators. My main academic interest is in medical education. I wanted to talk to you today about all of the opportunities we have within medical education and the residency program. I think a really key thing to know about how we approach medical education training is that we have a number of layers various opportunities in medical education that are easily accessible. And you can access each one of those layers, depending on where your interests lie and what else you're exploring during residency. And so we make all the opportunities easily accessible, and you can access a Zeman Ia's you want depending on your interest. So the sort of the first layer that everyone will partake in is getting training in tow. How to be a new affective teacher, how to get feedback, Um, how to assess learners, etcetera and on all of our services. We have medical students, and you'll do a tremendous amount of teaching, even as an intern and certainly as a junior and senior residence. One of the key things that the court educators do is to give interns and juniors and seniors feedback on their teaching, um, and meet with them and discuss their goals. From an education standpoint, the second layer is sort of the very easily accessible extra opportunities in medical education, and this involves teaching in the student run clinic, the Crimson Care Collaborative as a junior and senior resident participating and teaching in the same curriculum, which over 70 are juniors and seniors take part in every year as teachers. Amazing opportunity, deliberate practice where you get to teach the same scenario but two different learners groups. And so you could tweak things and see the effect of that Tweak immediately and get feedback on your teaching from the same faculty. On dare are two really wonderful method electives, the one put up by the Rhyme Group. A Swell is the in patient condition educator elective that are really popular with all of our residents, and then the next layer beyond that is if you want tohave career in method and looking to really develop your portfolio, and this is where kind of teaching in other opportunities within medical school on residency come up as well as medical education research. I do a fair amount of medical education research and just want to highlight the wonderful infrastructure forgetting mezut projects done, um, during residency. It's really helpful. Toe have PhD methodology, ists and statisticians, and sort of other resource is to help you carry out these projects during busy time of residency on. Do we have an amazing system for doing that?
