I I'm a senior resident at MGH, and today I just wanted to offer you all a very warm virtual welcome on give you a little bit of a perspective on our program. Uh, to just share a little bit about myself to start. I went to Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine for a medical school in Ohio on I moved out here after I matched it MGH in the ST Mary Position Scientists program. I'm interested in hematology oncology, and I'm actually applying the fellowship this year. So I have to say, really, really loved my time at NGH on in Boston. I remember being in your shoes, not that long ago, thinking about what program I might end up at on. I remember considering MGH for a number of different reasons just the track record that the program had and training positions for an academic career. Bolas, the rich array of research opportunities that Boston seemed to offer. When I came here to interview, actually, what struck me the most was really the vibe that I got. I remember on my interview day of just you know, how willing people were to support you in whatever narrative that maybe, And I found that to be true that here, you know, in our program, people are really willing to go up to that for you to help you become the physician leader that you wanna be and whatever domain that IHS be it that kind of education or basic science, public policy, social justice. There's such a varied array of interest among our residents here, and everyone in the program is very supportive. I think definitely my favorite thing about the residency program has to be my co residents. I don't think I've ever been surrounded by such an extraordinary group, Uh, intelligent, accomplished yet humble individuals that I have been in residency, and I just learned so much from being around my co residents. I think that teamwork is probably the thing that I would say is a big part of our program, and you'll learn that firsthand. If you choose to come here, you'll work in one of our Bigelow teams, which really consists of four interns caring for a panel of 16 patients quickly together and overseen by junior resident and the junior resident. The four interns really kind of serve in dynamic rolls to make sure patients get the best care possible. Because of that, it's really important that people work well together. So one of the things that I've actually found that was perhaps a little bit surprising that I didn't expect was just how collegial and collaborative everyone here is.
