My name is Jason Qatada, and I'm currently a full time MBA candidate at Fordham University Cobelli School of Business, graduating in 2022. Prior to attending Fordham University, I have a background in small business development, technology and finance. When I was looking for an MBA school toe, pursue my goals. Fordham was one of the schools that was at the top of the list and primarily because Fordham offers a unique, uhh unique program that is different than a lot of the other programs that are offered in New York City. Personally, I really wanted to be close to Manhattan and Long Island because I've grown up in Long Island. I've lived in New York my entire life for the most part, and it has been an exceptional place to live, and I wanted to stay close to friends and family as well as getting Ah University experience that happens to be in the heart of the epicenter of business, which is New York City. The school is one of the most important aspect, obviously, of any person's journey. When applying Thio earn their MBA? Uh, I I knew I wanted to say in Manhattan. I knew I wanted to stay close to my friends and family because I've grown up in Long Island and Fordham was at the top of my list when applying to MBA school. From my undergraduate degree, it was a large school. There was a lot of students and typically an introductory courses. There were about 100 students to the one professor, so it was a little bit of a struggle trying to reach out to professors and standing out amongst a crowd of, let's say, 102 103 100 students that we're taking a given course at any given time. I knew that when I was going to be school, that I wanted to be in an environment that was inclusive, that was diverse, and that gave me the opportunity to have one on one discussions with professors and faculty and any sort of administration. So when applying for MBA school, Fordham really caught my eye because it was one of the smallest cohort sizes in any of the business schools in New York City. It offered a great dynamic of faculty, staff and student interaction, and also, after speaking to a radio alumni, it really felt as if you were fully immersed in the program starting from day one. Fordham illustrates that there are a variety of ways to take advantage of networking within the Fordham community and outside of the Fordham community as well. One of the main aspects that really drew me into Fordham was the fact that across over the course of two years in the full time program, there are a variety of instances where the students can travel to a different part of the world in different country together as a class and work on projects and work on a variety of aspects that are important to really world problems. This would allow the students did not only engage with themselves but really work with NGOs and non profit organizations to truly make a little bit of a difference in the larger aspect of the world. I take a lot of pride in saying that I'm currently a Fordham University graduate and be a candidate, and I feel as if that Fordham has been the family that I was looking for in the last couple of years, especially after graduating under A with my undergraduate degree, and I have to say it's been a 10 out of 10 experience. Granted, the coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on a variety of things. The university has still done a wonderful job in making sure that everyone feels included and that everyone is doing exactly what needs to be done in order to network, meet new individuals and really strive for internships, jobs and really be the best that they could be even given the current global pandemic.
