Hey, guys, Um, my name is Shen, ya know, And I'm currently a first year student at Denison University, and I'm excited to share with you guys why I chose Dennison. Well, during my college process, I knew I wanted to go to a small school that heavily emphasizes on community building and the interaction between upperclassmen and lower classman. Well with a small student body of around 2000 students, each class is around 10 to 20 students, and you'll get a mixture of students from every grade level, the largest class I've had this year, it was around 25 students and the professor's really want you to get the most out of their classes. This could be seen from the idea that classes are very discussion based, allowing each student to fully engage with the material and interact with each other. As a track and field athlete, I was also looking for a school that had a very strong athletics program, and the facilities here are top notch. The university has just rebuilt the indoor track, which has benefited us greatly, and the coach is here are fantastic. As a student athlete, the coaches want us to be successful in both our academics and in our athletics. The final reason why I chose Dennison over every other school is because of how beautiful the campuses. I remember walking around the campus in the rain and seeing how beautiful the view is from atop the hill. There are also plenty of wildlife just roaming around the campus on a daily basis. Well, anyways, I hope you guys really consider this university as there are many opportunities for you to learn and interact with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
