My name is Maggie, and I'm a senior at Denison from Ottawa, Canada. Today, I'm here to talk to you guys about how Dennison brought me from my first day to my last two. You're probably wondering how I found a way to Dennison. While I never thought that I would go to the same school as him when I was in your shoes in the college search process, I could not find a school that felt like home. The way Dennis ended when I stepped foot on campus Sport my first year, I was not disappointed from the people I've met. The things I've learned to the opportunities I've had these past four years have been amazing, to say the least. I'm excited for the next few years to cover as well. There is this magnetic aspect about Dennison that attracts the best people. That the people you want to learn from and the people you want to become lifelong friends with living next door to all of your best friends is the best. I feel like I've known these people a lifetime in the bear. I could go on and on about the things that I learned at Denison. I'm a biology major, so I've taken my fair share of science causes. The beauty of the liberal arts is that have also taking classes in English and religion in history in so many other subjects. Learning from all of these different topics has really helped prep me for the real world. The best part about these courses are by far the professors. They're so engaging and they love interacting with students, something I was particularly nervous about when coming to college was the switch and rigor. One thing I can say about Dennison is the resources we have make this transition as easy as possible. If you want to ask questions about the course or talk about anything we have free tutoring for all costs is on campus, and each department also has their own unique resources. Finally, I want to talk about the opportunities over these past four years, I've been able to do so much that has helped bring me to where I am. I've been able to do summer and senior research with Dr Reddick in our local Granville, schooled in labs. I've also had wonderful mentorship from so many professors, including my advisor doctor level. I've had world class advising from Sarah's Tasco in our Nolting Career Center when it came time to apply to medical school. Having these professors right recommendation letters, having Sarah to go over my personal statement and practice interview skills and also having all of these people to help calm me down when the stress got too much was invaluable. I am so grateful, and I'm so thankful to Dennison for getting me here. I know choosing a college can be very stressful, but I can promise you there is really no wrong decision. Choose the college that has the people that make it feel like home.
