Spring Term Reflection 1 @ Dartmouth (College Rewind)
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
It's actually playing right now, but I can't go wash it because I'm just so busy. So this video is going to be short currently the end of the fifth week of spring term, which is my third term on campus. Compared to winter term, it's a drastic difference, like the break between winter and spring term was literally two weeks. When people came back, most of the snow has melted and everyone's just in a better mood. I think this term has been my best term, and I think it's really relative toe winter term because winter term, I was just so uninvolved and spring term because everyone's like in about and the weather is really nice. I just like, I don't know, I just felt motivated to, like, get out and do stuff. Hey, it is spring and we're actually out and about. It's so there are really sharp that could easily get you one. Jesus What if it falls off you want? I actually signed up for, like, a couple of new clubs that I have never tried before, which took me to, like many new places, even just on campus, explore like one of my clubs have something to do with engineering a new way to further life soil. Theo, look at me somewhere that I've actually never. This is the first time I really like enjoyed Dartmouth as a place because I got, like, more involved and like I wasn't scared. Like I was paying more attention on, like being out and about, like, joining stuff. Spring is beautiful, and it's like so much better than winter. For now, like today is a weird like rainy cold day, but for the past two weeks has been pretty much just like Sonny and like a T shirt shorts and, like maybe a light jacket weather. So it's been really cool to see people on the green like Frisbee or Spike ball, or just like doing work outside just like enjoying the sun. So you actually feel like days productive, which is so great because I'm a big like daylight person. So that really helped me just a few more productive and feel like I can actually me make it through my work. As for like, academics, I'm taking three classes again this term. I would say like these classes aren't necessarily things that I naturally just enjoy doing because, um, actually, my classes are pretty like physical science heavy this term. They're just more for, like, requirement, which has been fun, actually. So I had to go to like the Kem voting for the first time because I'm taking chemistry class and I'm also actually taken engineering class for my seminar, which is a writing class. I have absolutely no experience in engineering whatsoever, but because of this class and because of the distributive requirement that really pushed me to like explore more of my interests also went to failure for the first time this term, mostly because of engineering class, and that's like in the graduate section of campus. Just like forcing myself to, like, get out and do more stuff, especially just embracing the spring weather, Um, I think it's it's been really good for me. The service also knew for my classes in the sense that I somehow managed to get my schedule. So my Tuesdays and Thursdays are practically free and that this is the first time that I've had that in college. I think, like, just like the thought of there being like up to three days in the week, religious helps relax me a little bit. So I've been really, really liking my schedule this term. Plus, I don't have dro at 7 45 in the morning, so that just, like, really gives me such a better night of sleep and makes me, like so much more prepared for class. I've also managed to make it down to New York for the first time since collar started, and I actually watched my first Broadway show and I went for a weekend. It was like a super great refresher, just like from college and from Dartmouth. I honestly think that spring term is the first time that I actually felt like I was kind of taking advantage of all the opportunities that Dartmouth has. I'm really actually really looking forward to like the rest of the term, because I think it's just been it's just been really.
