I'm a senior intern in the Office of Admission. My interview perspective, students and speaking information sessions. Um, and I've been involved with admissions since my sophomore year, so that's been a really big commitment of mine throughout my time at Colgate. Aside from that, I have been in some volunteer organizations. I have been a volunteer income tax assistant where I've done, um, taxes for low income families in the area. We really like to give back to the surrounding area here. I've been in the Student Government Association, and I was the head of the director of communications. So I was able thio write newsletters and emails to the student body. The dumpling club was started by my friend last year, and so I've learned to make dumplings and pre co bid. We were meeting twice a month, making and eating dumplings. I love that I am allowed to have such diverse involvements. Um, I could major in two things that are so different from one another icon in our history on dive really had such a great experience. Um, when I was touring colleges, I knew that I wanted to attend a small, private liberal arts school. The Northeast was kind of my targeted area on, But of all the schools I toured, not only was calling the most beautiful, but I really felt a very strong sense of community here. The size of our student body as well as our location really creates a tight knit community. I, I have really taken advantage of that in my past four years here. Um, I also really appreciated professors, relationships with students and how those becomes so strong. I've been over to my professors houses for dinners. I've been on weekend long trips to New York City with professors as well as um, and extended study, which is like a three week long trip with my art history professors to Italy. Um, and yeah, Aside from that, I really liked that the alumni network Colgate is really, really strong. Alumni really care about Colgate after they graduate. That was a good sign because I figured, you know, if alumni loved Colgate so much, maybe I would thio. Having an alumni network means that you have connections with people who are pretty established in their careers. I've been able to find internship opportunities and job opportunities through our alumni network, which are Career Services Department Does a really good job about facilitating eso. Um yeah, and Colgate has definitely proven all of my positive kind of hopes to be true. It's really a special special town in a special campus and a special group of people that, um is, you know, has changed my life. Look back on for the rest of my life even after I graduate in a couple of months.
