Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm a rising junior at Colgate University. That doesn't mean we can't take a virtual food tour. The name of the town Colgate is located in is called Hamilton, New York, So I'm gonna take you to the best three spots to eat for every meal in Hamilton. While the food at Colgate is actually really, really good, it's always fun to venture downtown for a bite to eat. The first spot on my list is the Hamilton Farmers Market. This farmers market is open every Saturday in the spring and in the fall, and it has fantastic foods. So my favorite thing to get there's a huge table that set up with lots of different types of muffins, and they're all all only a dollar. This bakery is best known for the really yummy pastries, as well as their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. They also have really yummy coffee and different seasonal favorites. This is called the student absolute favorite spot, and my favorite thing to get there is the rosemary salt Bagel. Sometimes I like it just with cream cheese, sometimes bacon and cheese on it on. One of my real favorites is they have, Ah, sandwich that has Brean Ham and jam. Berry is a cute cafe bakery that has great coffee and different breakfast and lunch items. My favorites include they have a really yummy biscuit with jam. They have great avocado toast with eggs, and they also have great tomato Biscay soup. The first thought we're gonna be heading to for lunch is the Hamilton eatery. This is a deli style restaurant that has fantastic sandwiches, soups and salads. Some of my favorites there include their butternut squash soup, have a great BLT, some really yummy salads, but something that they're really known for is there absolute to die for Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is just so yummy, and it's served in a lot of different catered events around school. It has great wraps, sandwiches, salads and smoothies. Their menu is all vegetarian and vegan options, and it's so yummy. There is the black being rap, and I could get that I could eat that everyday if I had the opportunity to the next lunch spot on my list is the Colgate in Now. They're artichoke dip is so good they have great burgers and sandwiches and things like that. The Colgate students favorite is actually on the dessert menu, and that is the hot cookie skillet with ice cream. So it's just a warm chocolate to cooking in a skillet with vanilla ice cream on it, and it's really good to split with friends. The first spot on my dinner list is Royal Indian Grill or Rig Rig is so yummy it serves traditional Indian food on Thursday nights. There's a buffet option so you can try lots of different foods. On a normal night, I love the chicken tikka masala as well as the garlic naan. The next spot on my list is friends and Foe, and this is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant that serves really yummy faux soup. My favorite things to get there are the beef foe as well as the shrimp spring rolls. They have spring rolls and egg rolls and lots of different things like that. So this is a really fun spot to go just to get a quick bite. T The next fall on my list is rushes, and this is really fun to just go with a big group of friends to They have a really yummy nachos and loaded french fries with cheese and bacon. I love their buffalo chicken sandwich, so it's really fun to just head there with friends. Now that I've introduced you to my three favorite spots for every meal, I have to share some of my honorable mentions that didn't really fit into the those three categories. So my honorable mention for best dessert is Maxwell's. Maxwell's is a chocolate ice cream shop, so I love the chocolate covered pretzels that Maxwell they have really good peanut butter chocolate things as well as sea salt, caramel. They also have fantastic sundaes and ice cream there, and my honorable mention for best late night snack is New York Pizzeria. The students only refer to this place is slices, so Slices is great for a late night snack as it's open every night until 2 a.m. So it's always really happening and busy late at night.
