Was there an experience in my life that influenced my decision? You know, I'll say that, you know, obviously coming from a background where people like me, black men and medicine are not well represented. Um there are very few people who I could see on my journey to where I am now, who I could look at and say that these people share my background and are in the position that I'm trying to get to very very few role models that I could find on the way and that experience as I went through the process through undergrad, through medical school into residency, it really really left an impression on me that, you know, once I was lucky enough to get to the position I'm in, um it's incumbent on me to do as much as I can to help people who are behind me. You know, I I always wanted to as much as possible as I was coming up through this process, you know, help the next person so that they would at least have a better resources than I did. Um I tried to connect with people and I'm really, really happy any time I hear that someone has been inspired by me or has actually benefited from advice, more resources that I'm able to share, the obstacles that I had to overcome and getting to my position definitely definitely made an impact on the type of program that I wanted to get into and where I am now at CTU. Yeah, yeah.
