Walking Up Freshman Hill and through the Library
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I don't know if you can, um, seat up from, like the way the video works, But the hill I'm walking up is known as a freshman hill. Whether you live north of campus, south of campus or anywhere in between, if you are walking to campus like if you don't have a car, thank you. Chances are you will walk up a version of freshman hell. If you come up from the South side over by the Smithfield house, then there's a lot of big staircases. Especially if you have early classes, it can wear you out early in the morning. Yeah, this is actually, uh, one of my favorite places to walk on campus. There's a lot of just really, really pretty sights. That building is the Tanner building, and that is where I go to church with my roommates. It's like maybe a ten minute walk from my apartment. Then once I get on campus, it's like just seventeen minutes walking here for seven minutes, spent walking around to the various classes that I need to get to for all of that's sort of step. Yeah, um, now I am at the top of Freshman Hill and you walk up stairs. If you go around like behind me is the tan, your building. That's where they have a lot of the Marriott school business classes. That's one thing that's really important is the cars. Um, right over to the right here, Um, you can see, like, the trucks and stuff there, That white truck, this part on this side, like on the curb. So the police office is a right in the corner of that building that you can see right there. That building is called the J K. B, which is the Jesse night building, and I don't have any classes in there, but my English, um, professor teacher, a person, she has an office in there. So it's pretty likely that some of the faculty members that teacher classes, um, well have offices that are not in the same building as your class. To make sure you're aware, even if you don't have classes and all of the buildings, it's kind of important to know, like where all the buildings are. In case you do need to go visit faculty member has an office in a uncharted territory type building. That's the Jakey be walking on the south edge of it, just going between a bunch of little buildings here and this opens up. It's like spits you out right in front of this building. Over to the right here is the t M C B. And that building is the computer science building. So that's where a lot of computer science major spend most of their time. One of my animation class prerequisite classes, Um, which I will show you in another video. Um, as you come around the corner here, that beautiful glass building is the library. That's actually where I'm headed in the video. Um, you'll just get to see kind of the entrance of the video. That's one thing I actually didn't know about when I was registering for classes at BYU. Is your classes can be in two different buildings. So Monday and Wednesday, I have classes in the J S B. Which is way on the south end of campus. Uh, but on Fridays, my anthropology lectures are in the library in smaller groups with R t. A's. So that's a lot of fun getting Tio recognized, like all these different buildings. They have maps all over the library so that you can easily navigate your way. I only walked through the main floor, um, in my videos because that's the, like public. If that was ground floor, um, it's considered the third floor because it has the, uh, the library has two basements, and those two basements are considered the second and the first floor. This area that I'm walking through right now is a snack area on a snack area is super great because, uh, obviously, if you can find a spot, sit, um, you can eat food while you're studying, and it's in the library, so you have access to all these resource is, like, right at your fingertips. That one's kind of not as exciting as the one that's closer to the front. There is one of the maps that, um, it's all throughout the library. Then there's actually some classrooms on the right side here. Um, our wear it like this is one of the classrooms, has many anthropology election it. So I will see me go and one of those just a moment here, But yeah, this is the south end of the libraries of the very furthest South that you can go.
