The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I'm gonna be talking about what I learned from my first semester at college. I learned that I got accepted into Brigham Young University early last year. At that time, I was taking a full boat of ivy classes. Everybody kept telling me, Oh, these customer period so well for college, first year in college is gonna be so easy. Here's what I think that I learned first, I learned in college grading system, so you typically have three midterms at one final for each cross. Each midterm is worth about 100 points, and the final is usually worth double. That in terms and final are usually around 30 to 60% of your green. So the majority of your great if you end up flunking one of your mid terms, it's possible to recover. Sometimes it means that you've lost your chance of getting a which sucks. This anything I learned is that it's okay, not tap straight A's in high school. I did the minimal amount of work in order to get a because of a for me. Anything about 89.5? No, if you like, I have to do the maximum amount of work in order to get A which is a 93 or above sometimes 94. It's hard my GP at a less Mestre Waas 3.56 which I personally consider be low considering any get medicals for me Averaged ups from here Something like that. So I'm definitely going upstream the harder this semester and the upcoming semesters in order to reason I should be a Okay. You have to do everything by yourself and that means laundry. So So what I did is I created a meal plan for myself. So if you want to see a video on how I made that budget and what how I formatted it, let me know I was to use my apple calendar Thio do calendar blocking super useful and I can show you how to do that before. Thing that I learned is that I should probably do the reading for class. I think that one of the biggest steaks I made first semester was not doing the reading for class and not coming to lecture prepared because during lecture, I was learning things for the first time because doing reading. That meant I couldn't take in everything about the teacher sad and and absorb it at a deep level. The six thing that I learned in college was not to take a T m classes. Okay, you're a morning person and maybe 8 a.m. Classes are gonna be okay for you, But don't think that just because you woke up at 6 a.m. for school and high school means that's gonna be easy for you to wake about six or seven for idiom classes in college. No, it in classes are brutal, especially if you don't have the time management skills in order to go to bed early. When I say earlier, you like 10 30 11 30 12 ish. This semester I'm taking nine AM classes, and that's actually really good for me. So these other things I learned from my first semester at college, I'm gonna be doing these videos, probably every semester, to reflect on how I did it and see where I can improve for the upcoming semester.
