I had really no idea what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go. I'm somebody that really likes to plan ahead and haven't idea what they're doing long before. I might give you some ideas how to make yourself stand out because they read a lot of applications and you want to make sure you stand out if you really want to get in, especially to your dream schools. The only school I got into So, um, I honestly feel like it was fate. You see school, they're kind of something different. I'm really just kind of straightforward application. Insane, um toward BU September before I really, really started working on college applications to make sure it's someplace I really wanted to go toward a couple schools in Boston and I really fell in love with the city and I really, really fell in love with you specifically not as much the other schools, I think just cause you had this amazing campus united feeling with it, like I felt like I was in the city, which is where it really, really want to be when I'm going to school, but also feel like I was on a college campus where everybody is like supporting one another. If I got that feeling just from like a two hour tour, I knew that it was really genuine and really something special. So I kind of just did the application, wasn't really sure. I got a 4.8 my senior year and basically four point my junior year, so I felt really good. I really think I got in because I really utilized making connections within the school. I think that got me to stay because if people remembered me again, I don't really know if this really happened. When I got back, I was really excited telling my mom and the rest of my family all about it. There was an information session in San Francisco that I decided we should all go to because I was so set on view at that point, it really wanted my family to see how amazing it was to, and that same admissions officer was pat that information session. This was really before I really started the whole comment out process and he said No, just get me in contact with your school. So I was basically, like, three things that I think I did that was really important and giving kind of my name and just showing him that I was ready for this dedicated. I was to this and how he really wanted it and showed him that I was willing to put in that effort. Thio working my counselor to make sure you got all the information about me schools like march ish. I think that's really why I had such a benefit her that competitive edge, not only because of my grades, my, that makes all my extra keep their stuff, my work experience, everything. You probably remember how passionate I was and how dedicated I was, too applying to school and new talks like that. I haven't really thought about any of the other school sense, because again this was my top school. Just I think anywhere you can just work on building those connections, getting your name out there because it turns out there's a lot of people applying and you really want to make sure you put yourself out there as somebody who's passionate about school and was willing to make that extra effort take that extra step to make your application totally best. It can be in really representative you, But also to show that, like, in person side if you get the chance, um, go to tours. This person actually made the effort to come to this information session on a Sunday afternoon like they're really, really dedicated to this thing. They want this really bad. I think that really made a difference. Um, and emailing him like not letting this be something that slides by think really just showed how passionate was about school and how badly I wanted to be a part of that community. They like Boston, but not necessarily just Boston, because turns out there's time for other schools in Boston, but they wanted to know exactly why I wanted to go to BU. I told them all those things about their selling you earlier about the community and how everybody at that tour was just so nice. I think you really, really have to be specific when you are writing those kind of things about why you want to choose this school, because I think it shows that you've really done your research. You are confident this isn't just a school on the side or a safety school or whatever you You may call it that you really put in the effort to make sure that they know that this is where you want to be. You know the school you're trying to just as well as they dio. I think that's an important line to recognize when you're doing college applications and everything, because you have to make sure that you know people read over it because you don't really know who's reading over your essay, only somebody you don't really know. It's really important to get feedback from other people like that. You also want to make sure you don't become too involved in automatically doing that few back give, because then it's not really you anymore. It's not, um, it's creating that profile of me, and I'm moving for something small that something that really represents me, and it's important to put it. This is just about lying and everything, but I'm really, really excited. Yeah, if you have any sort of questions whatsoever totally up for joining with current seniors or juniors, whoever or whatever you drive, if you're starting to think about school again, I'm no expert. I don't really have a backup plan, which probably isn't the best idea. Always have a backup plan to a safety school to make sure your safety school something. Yeah, that's kind of this video I don't really prepped for anything. If you heard he got into the school Congratulations.
