So you're gearing up to take your S a T s your A c t s. And let's be honest, no matter which way you look at it, it's just not really a fun time. I'm a rising junior at Boston University, and today we're going to talk about everything you need to know about taking the S A. T s or the C T. Standardized test prep can be a lot of stress. So what is the best way to manage? So you have to test taking options. By the time you were applying to schools, more and more colleges are starting to not really have a preference anymore between whether or not use of it s a T. U versus the aces. The choice can be more up to you and what you feel like you're more confident. If you have specific schools in mind, do double check to see if they want the S A T or the E, C T or both. A lot of schools these days are taking boat, but some schools do, of course, still have a preference. You know, if you're not planning on applying to that many schools and the schools you're looking at, only take the S A. T. Obviously, you shouldn't take the A C. T. However, if you do your research and you find that it really doesn't matter which one you choose, I would say Take both of them once. For some people, the S A T is easier for some people that a C T is easier for other people. You're only really gonna learn what works for you. If you think both of them at least once, it can be very overwhelming trying to prepare for one of these exams because the amount of information that they're testing you on is really a lot. You should keep in mind that a lot of the content on these exams is not really meant to be anything new in anything that you have not already learned. Of course, there's some questions that arm challenge you and really push the boundaries of what you know. For the most part, this is stuff that you have learned now, whether you believe it or not, all the information that you need to be successful on these exams is locked away somewhere up here now, how deeply buried that information is that is a different question, but they're certainly ways that you can kind of on archive that information from your brain. There are a lot of online resource is that you can use to practice as a key and a C T style questions before taking the exams online. Practice resource is can be so helpful because they not only help you re familiarize yourself with the content that's supposed to be on use exams that you maybe forgot you given you in the first place. Fancy S, A T and a CT prep courses and tutors could be very helpful, of course, if you have access to them. You don't really need them because there are so many online resources available to help you. Something that I really liked to use was Khan Academy. They have so many resources on so many different subjects within the test, and I definitely recommend. At the end of the day, for the amount of information that is on these exams, you kind of either know it or you don't. You have to trust yourself whether you're taking this exam early in your sophomore year or you've waited to the last minute your senior year. I promise you, you've had so many years of schooling that you have got this. All you could do at this point is make sure that you are on your game for exam day. A little known fact that a lot of people don't know about Test Prep is that it's not actually the night before sleep. That is most important, but it is actually several days beforehand that you need to be making sure that you're getting sufficient sleep in order to perform your best on the day of the exam. This means you have to plan ahead and make sure that a few days before the exam you are clearing your schedule enough so that you could get a sufficient nicely several days in a row, because studies so. This is what's really going to help you be a top capacity on exam day and really be able to access all that information that is locked away in your brain. For some people, they get really bad test anxiety, and the nerves can keep them up the night before. So especially in that case, it's really good to know that you have at least planned up properly and got in at least a few nights before my last tip of advice is eat breakfast and drink water. I know a lot of high school students don't eat breakfast. I certainly didn't eat breakfast in high school because I felt like I didn't have time and I felt like I didn't really need to. If I did eat breakfast, I felt like it made me sick in the morning. Trust me on exam day, you're going to want to try it to your full breakfast and drink water make sure you're hydrated the S A T and the A, C T R Long exams, and they require a lot of endurance and focus to really get through and perform well through the whole thing. Good breakfast, combined with a full night's sleep is really going to help you keep a study in clear mind throughout the whole exam, and you're really going to find it so much easier to remember all this information. Try to stay away from coffee and energy drinks before the exam, because these are just going to make your mind race and make you kind of hyper and really affect your ability negatively to focus, really. You've learned the law, and you've got this best of left preparing for your exams. If you have any more questions about test prep, the college starts or the college experience feel free to D.
