So in this video, I'm going to be explaining how a meal plan work. So here at American, we have a bunch of different meal plans. For freshmen they have to take the one hundred seventy five block plan. So that means that you have one hundred and seventy five mil swipes each semester. So when I was a freshman, I obviously had this plan because they had to, and I didn't even use half of it. I wasted a lot of the mule swipes and didn't even end up like using them. Use thumb whenever you can, because you know they're not going anywhere. The one hundred seventy five lakh plan also comes along with two hundred Eagle Books and a hundred dining dollars. As of the fall semester fall twenty nineteen, they're going to be getting rid of dining dollars. Just to explain them how I know them dining dollars you can only use on campus where is equal bucks. Eagle Books is basically money that is on your U ID card that you can then use on any place on campus. Or you can go off campus and using a different location so you can use at Starbucks Panera to pull a different pieces. So it's definitely like there's a lot of places in the town right next to campus, which called Family Town. I have a smaller block plan now, which is only a fifty block plan, which has no eagle bus, and it has fifty meal swipes and one hundred dining dollars, so I can't use those off campus. I really make sure to use them on campus because it's already paid for it and it doesn't roll over. So make sure you use those while you can, because you don't want your parents waste their money when you could be eating up.
